This advice is especially critical for wet weather, which can turn into icing.

The driver can shift most of his difficulties onto smart electronic systems. Automated systems in cars are in vogue today, which advertisements say can save the driver a lot of trouble. But the presence of ESP, ABS and other active safety devices in the car cannot be canceled by the laws of physics. Such electronic systems can reduce the likelihood of losing control of the car, but they cannot guarantee safe driving in difficult weather conditions, and even at high speed. This system is designed primarily to make the vehicle as controllable as possible when braking on slippery roads. So after washing, you need to arm yourself with dry napkins and carefully wipe the door seals, you should also ask that the lock larvae be blown out with well compressed air. Even at the sink itself, you can inject universal grease into the lock larvae. It will displace water, which will save the castles from turning into an ice monolith.

Electric locks will not freeze in winter. Even the presence of an electric drive does not guarantee unhindered entry into the machine. The drive itself can work, but the lock mechanism itself can freeze. So in this case, you will have to completely warm the entire door so that the ice in the mechanism melts. If the first signs of a lock jam in the cold are outlined, then the car should be put in a warm garage for warming up. Then you need to carefully remove the door trim and thoroughly blow the mechanism with compressed air. After the moisture is guaranteed to be removed, the mechanism will need to be lubricated with special oil. If the car is locked with keys, then in the evening spray WD-40 aerosol into the larvae and wipe the rubber door seals with a dry cloth. The optimal solution would be to treat them with silicone grease. If the driver's door does not open, do not panic, but try to open the passenger door. After all, locks often freeze on only one side.

To quickly defrost the windshield, turn on the stove at maximum power. Before parking the car, it is necessary to ventilate the interior, otherwise, when the snow hits the windshield, it will begin to melt, and the water flowing down onto the brushes will quickly turn into ice. During the night it can freeze so much that it will take a long time for it to melt. Warming up the engine by directing a stream of hot air to the windshield is not the right decision - it can burst. When parking, you should first ventilate the interior by blowing cold air on the windows; this can be done even at the entrance. As a result, snow, falling on cold glass, will not melt, which will make it easy to remove it in the morning. The worst thing that can happen with this option is light frost on the glass.

The front-wheel drive car is a real "salvation" in winter. Indeed, such cars on which road behave more stable, but in the event of a drift or skid, these cars are much more difficult to "catch" than rear-wheel drive. Front-wheel drive vehicles have their own stability problems, but they differ markedly from those that drivers are used to after driving in rear-wheel drive cars. In practice, it turns out that some of the techniques already acquired can only worsen the situation, for example, throwing gas while simultaneously turning the steering wheel towards a skid. So do not rely on front-wheel drive, regardless of its type in general, driving in difficult winter conditions always requires special precautions. The driver should be aware that sudden steering movements, braking or adding throttle can lead to skidding and loss of control of the vehicle. And even possession of extreme driving skills does not mean their successful application in practice, you should not use them unnecessarily, especially if the traffic is intense enough. For example, the effective braking of a car can scare an oncoming inexperienced driver, who will sharply apply the brake with unpredictable consequences.

In winter, you need to drive slowly, then an accident will not happen. Surprisingly, it is in winter that a lot of accidents occur at low speeds. The most pronounced cases are collisions when parking and maneuvering in tight spaces. Yards are becoming dangerous for motorists, as children often roll out ice paths there, as well as parking lots covered with snow. In such places, cars can simply slide to the side when trying to move or stop. Accidents often occur when a driver tries to squeeze into an empty space near the sidewalk or in a parking lot.

Good driving skills will save you from any difficulties in winter, even in an all-season. With the onset of winter, many drivers do not bother with a seasonal tire change at all. They either cannot really assess the danger on the road; they are trying to save money in this way. Many people think that all-season tires are called so because they are equally good to ride in both summer and winter. However, it is not. The analogy is easy to find - our shoes. After all, we do not spend the whole year in demi-season boots, in summer our choice is sandals, and in winter - warm boots or boots. The situation is the same with car tires. In the summer, a car requires one that will tolerate overheating well and behave steadily on a dusty surface. In winter, winter tires are needed that will not stiffen in the cold, while having a deep and high-quality soft tread. In order for your car to have the most reliable contact with the road, dozens of huge corporations are constantly developing new chemical compounds and developing new tread patterns. In addition to marketing, there is also concern about the safety of motorists. So, whatever the skills in driving a car, it is rubber that is responsible for the unity of the car and the road, allowing you to successfully drive a vehicle. And you should be responsible when choosing a set of tires.
